Ancient Wonders |
You can visit the ruins or locations of all Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
However, only the Great Pyramid of Giza has survived intact to the present day.
Here is a
description of how the classical list of
the Seven Ancient Wonders came about. There was also a contest to name the
New
7 Wonders of the World which were announced in July, 2007.
We now have a
topic with travel information on how to visit those new seven wonders.
Howard Hillman, world traveler and a noted authority on Earth's natural and
man-made wonders, has an interesting
personal perspective on the seven ancient wonders you might enjoy
reading.
