Are you a desert lover? Lawrence of Arabia was and so are we. Here are some wonderful sites that have information on the deserts of the world including how to visit them. What is the largest desert in the world? Believe it or not, the Antarctic desert is the largest polar desert followed by the Sahara desert which is the largest sand desert in the world.  We have a wonderful Visit A Desert table at the bottom of this page with everything you want to know about the major deserts of the world and how to visit them.

To search the web for information about visiting a desert, use the name of the desert and the words Trips and Tours (e.g., Sahara Desert Trips and Tours) or Expeditions (e.g., Sahara Desert Expeditions)

Wikipedia Deserts.  A good overview of deserts and the deserts of the world.  They have pages for all the major deserts of the world, as well as many other deserts.  Start with their List of Deserts.  They also have a list of all deserts over 50,000 square kilometers ordered by size.

* 90% of the Arabian Desert is in Saudi Arabia. However, all the countries of the Arabian Peninsula include a small portion of the Arabian Desert.  Many of these countries offer desert safaris from a day trip to a week or more.  If you want to see where Lawrence of Arabia traveled and some of his battle sites, you will need  to go to Jordan.  Dubai tour operators offer some well-known desert trips.
